About

AMRA NSW™ is an organisation of modellers who are interested in model railways of all scales, gauges and origins (prototypes), from the smallest to the largest (12" to the foot!).

From humble beginnings in members' homes in 1956, our first clubrooms at Rockdale in 1968, to our current purpose-fitout clurooms in Mortdale in 2003, we provide a social outlet and member activites including layout building & operation, modelling clinics, Open Days, member media screeings, day and longer trips; and for over four decades the Sydney Model Railway Exhibition.

Our current fixed layouts are:
O Gauge - allows multiple options including 2-rail and 3-rail DC and AC power
HO Gauge - 'Stoney Creek', a miniature railway with realistic operation
N Gauge - extensive highly sceniced layout

Modular layouts include:
HO Gauge - 'U-Drive', available for general use and hire
HO Gauge - 'East Matelend', a popular exhibition layout, intended to undergo extensive refurbishment
